Can I remove parts of my exaust?

On my exhaust I understand the cat, and the muffler but what are the other things between the 2? Can I remove them for better sound/performance? I have a completely stock exhaust as of now, but was looking for a cheaper alternative to buying a complete system and mod mine. Thanks

I'm assuming you mean resonators. And it would not be worth your time to remove them, they just keep your exhaust from being to raspy. Anything you do short of replacing your stock with larger diameter piping, will not really give you much of a gain in performance.

The cheapest way would be to find a good muffler shop and tell them you want a 3" inch turbo back exhuasts with the same bends as your stock one.

I just unbolted and disconnected my exhuast starting at the down pipe and took a local muffler shop told them to bend, and weld together a exhuast exactly the same but in 3" inch diameter. The did it for under 150" with me supplying the new muffler.

Dam $150 is a pretty good alternative to buying an exhaust system online. Especially if its exact same bends as stock, but 3".

I wouldn't waste my time taking them off. Buy an entire new exhaust when you have the money.

He's N/A guys. Really man the only thing I would do is cut out the CAT and sell it, then straight pipe it with a peice of pipe and two clamps from autozone. Will reduce restriction a little and you'll make some cash on top of that.
