Mississauga,
hey everyone, i recently installed my new Recaro SRD2 40th year anniversary seats in my 2g GSX. They sit extremely high and your knees practically rub against the steering wheel when driving, they also rub against the roof of the car when reclined and its tearing apart the threading.. In the end, i've decided to pull them out this winter and find something that has a nicer feel to it and has a similar fitting to the OEM seats.

I was just curious as to if anyone has any seats on their cars that have worked out well for them? Thanks a lot :)

Evo Recaro's are awesome and fit pretty well from what I've heard. But you already have Recaros and they make damn nice seats. Have you tried modifying the bracket to get them to sit lower?

^ hoochjch: are those the evo recaro seats?
or the sparco evo?

and YOOOO: the brackets were all custom made at home, i think my main problem is the height of the rails.. they're atleast 2 inches high which is my main problem.. its hard to explain but you feel like your sitting on a rollercoaster, very secured but very little movement/comfort!

Andy123, i know what you are going threw i made my own brackets to fit my pepboys auto special 3A racing seats and i ran into the same problem as you are. i bought brackets off ebay and it worked great. but the stock seats are alot more comfy then those 3a racing seats that i bought. anyways my buddy has Bride seats in his spyder and may i say WOW.. they are soo comfy i never want to get out of his car. check into bride seats.

those low max that you have the links for look very nice. and i bet they are sooo comfy. brides are just comfy for some reason. they are like a home away from home. they reming me of a big comfy couch hahaha

LOL sounds like what im looking for then^
how do they fit in the car though.. when you recline the seat, does it rub? do your knees feel crammed with the steering wheel? etc etc

They fit like a glove bro, i dont think they rub at all to be honest i never noticed as they recline so flawlesly. no not at all not only that when you are doing donuts or going a little to fast around a turn you dont move the seat just hugs you LOL.

fuuck eh, this must be my lucky day then :)
im usually pretty picky when it comes to seats but its nice to know that i've found my match in the first hour or searching.. thanks a lot for your help, very much appreciated

thinking about the Bride low max but im unsure if they even still make them..?

has anybody else gotten aftermarket seats and been happy with them? let me know :)

I have sat in an evo on multiple occasions and sweet jesus was that thing comfy compared to my stock 1g carbon fiber seats.

My money would be spent on Corbeau. Nice appearance, excellent pricing for the quality.

I actually DON'T prefer Evo seats. I feel as though the back is too flat-feeling and the seat base places my legs in a weird position that makes me run the seat much closer to the dash than I prefer in other cars.

You sir, Know the good stuff :thumb:

I have sparco torino seats in my car and had to modify the bracket to fit correctly. The seat was to high and too much to the drivers door. The sliders for it are pretty low. In hind sight may be cheaper to make your own seat brackets to fit rather than modify pre-made ones.

im thinking about getting brides, i hear they're one of the best out there for this car..
fits great, extreme comfort, and tons of room around the door panels and steering wheel!
