:ohdamn: ok so i did the BISS adjustment to try and solve my idle issues... did not work... in infact when turning the idle screw in or out it seemed to have no effect on the running of the car....
(for those who dont know its a completely stock 90 laser rst that bounces up and down on idle and when you hold the throttle at a steady pace but not when you just rev it... wont drive cuts in and out)
so now that i have done that and it didnt work does anybody have any other suggestions on what this might be?..or could i have done the BISS adjustment wrong?..i followed the instructions step by step

If you unplug it and there is little to no change then that means more than likely it is the problem.

on some cars like mine unplugging that wont do anything. did your make sure you grounded the right prongs when adjusting the biss? and did you take the screw out the make sure it was good? make sure you dont have any vaccume leaks. thats what it sounds like mine did that when i had a bad gasket on the TB.

no i didnt.... on the vfaq directions the fuse that is by the fusebox under the dash has 4 prong in it and mine only has three...it says to clip the 3rd one up from the bottom but mine only has 3 prons so in that case i clipped the top one. but the car did nothing differently when i did the addjustment.... the screw seemed to have no affect on the idle or rev and it move freely with no resistance....

can you replace the O ring under the idle screw without taking the TB apart? and would that be why the screw is moving so easily?...and would that creat a vaccum leak?

ya. and when you ground the clips the car should go down to a lower idle anyways. well atleast mine did mine has three prongs also i grounded the one closes to the floor.

There is a lot of things it can be but this helps out alot!!
Terry's Talon Troubleshooting Tips #3 - Fast Idle (aka. Idle Surge)

yeah ive read that twice now....but i dont have an high idle problem like there saying.....mine idles real low and just kicks up to 1500 every couple second then goes right back down to 300 over and over again..... i can rev my engine but if i just hold the throttle at a steady pace it just cuts in out in out in out untill i take my foot off the gas

Check the closed throttle switch. That's the switch on top of the throttle body that has a green wire, single wire, running to it. Also make sure the tb has a good ground. Remember, it has gaskets on both sides. I ran a ground wire from the elbow mounting stud to the small Philips screw on the throttle body to make sure.
The closed throttle switch tells the ecu to cut fuel. If its not reporting to the ecu, it defaults to closed and, well, cuts the fuel.
