I own a 95' eclipse gst and it has been runnning perfect the only mods i have on it are a k&n intake and i removed the BCS restrictor. Recentyl i just took off my intercooler to clean and when i put it back on and drove the black tube leading from the turbo to the intercooler pops everytime i try to drive it. i tightened the clamps very hard and checked to make sure evrything was clamped but it still does it. Is this possible a problem with my turbo not being able to blow off pressure? and is this pressure the reason it keeps disconnecting?

most likely you may have oil or something around the end of the hose that may be making it slip off that easily. or, you may have to get a t-bolt clamp that you can tighten more

Same thing happened with my stock GST 8 years ago after I cleaned the intercooler out. I just cleaned the IC pipes and inside the rubber hoses with rubbing alcohol and they never popped off again. Also, it may sound dumb, but aqua net hair spray works great.

I had to fab up a licp with my 14b swap and this kept happening, I ended up flaring out the ends of the pipe with some vice grips. Holding so far.

LOLNo I didn't clean my pipes with aqua net. Actually I did a search on dsmtuners a while back to find a good way of keeping my IC pipes together because my FMIC kit didn't have beads on the piping and they kept blowing off. I found a thread where a lot of people suggested aqua net on the outside of the IC inlet and outlet so I tried it and it worked. I can see how that would be funny though.

if it can hold up an 80's do it should be able to hold your i/c together. I'll remember that next time it happens to me. thanks
