Shearer 3.5" V Band exhaust pics

Here are some pics Ron sent me of the prototype exhaust on my car. I feel this is a very exciting day for the DSm community. Finally a production 3.5" exhaust for those of us making big power. Using v band clamps and Ron's attention to detail along with super high quality materials this could very well be the pinnacle of DSM exhaust. Note the exhaust in the pics does not have a muffler attached yet as he is searching for a high quality muffler to use with the production system. I am going to be using an all Titanium muffler.

Looks excellent. All of Shearer's products have unmatched quality and fitment.

I would rock no muffler, or one of those little Dynomax Race Bullets mounted somewhere under the car. The car can't be that loud under normal driving with an exhaust that big.

I love Shearer parts! I love the exhaust! Also, rumor has it Shearer made a titanium turbo-back exhaust for someone. Is that true or was Shearer just "asked" to price one out for a customer? I'd love to see that. I think it might have been an Evo.

He was going to make it for me, price was not the issue. The tubing was going to be very thin and we were afraid it might get damaged during street driving.

Where did the piping come from. What kind of turbo is that?

What piping are you referring to? The exhaust? Ron shearer built it I don't know where he gets the raw material. The turbo is a GT42R

next is a custom fuel system and intercooler piping.

I'm surprised there is no flex section in the system. Looks nice.

There will be one when it is complete. Flex sections are a PITA when you are trying to fixture something. It's much easier to keep in mind there will be a flex in a certain spot when you are building the fixture. When it's flopping all around it's just hard to get it done.

I have no desire to build anything that is vehicle specific other than 1g AWD stuff. Half the reason I'm building some of these parts is I want them for my personal car so I mine as well fixture them while I'm at it.

Ive Looked On Shearefab.com And The Only Thing I Can Find On The Exhaust Is Just The Downpipe. Is The Whole Exhaust Going To Be For Sale Or Is This Just A One Time Thing?

Uhmm not really....How many all motor LS1's do you see with Full 3" exhaust...None....most of them are 2.5''.....they usually dont do 3'' unless they are race cars or Turbo

ya average LS1 with heads, cams, and Bolt ons...does not need 3'' and you will not find them with 3''

I have never made a 2.5 ls1 system. But have made a few few3.5-4" systems
