Car shakes hard at 5000rpms, idel is abit rough

I just finished my car, I got it back a few weeks ago, runs strong except for two issues..

one: when I drive the car hard past 5000rpms in any gear, the car boggs really hard, it might be a boost leak or even fuel cut, but im not sure what the diffrence is as far as feel...

two: the item is unsteady, idel high during warm up and after idel bounces from 600-900rpms all the time, kinda makes driving really slow in first gear abit of a challange.. but even tho the idel is abit rough, its not bad enough that the car dies during idel.

any ideas?

I still have the stock fuel pump (next upgrade)
cheap kragen spark plugs (champions)
cheap autozone battery (value craft)

Run a boost leak, i had the same exact problem as you, except the shaking started at 4000 RPMS. and the RPMs at idle would go really high and then come back down and then go up. it turned out to be a really really BIG boost leak so thats what you prob got.

+1 on the boost leak check . . . also I`ve seen a failing maf. cause this on 2G cars . . .

ahh, I think I know where the leak might be coming from, I'm using intercooler piping from dejon tool and they dont have a lower hard pipe that connects the j-pipe/extention to the intercooler so i used the flex hose that was between the stock bov to tb

first check for boost leaks
second open the Timing belt cover and check if you can see the torn balance shaft belt

check your balance BELT

belts are all new... anyone use the dejon tool hard pipe setup on a 16g turbo? now im pretty sure its a boost leak, im going to take it to a shop and have a pipe made to connect the turbo to the intercooler and replace that flex hose
