My buddy runs a srt-4 and he has a cut out downpipe, or "open dump downpipe". this makes the car sound like a damn diesel car and puts off some cool sounds and has whistling sound to it. what i would like to know is do we have exhaust like this for dsm's and if so where can i find them!

I have one, but it was made. I dont know of any that come like that but I could be mistaken. It sounds cool for about 5 minutes and then its loud, annoying, and the fumes will make you pass out at the wheel. I can tell a difference at the track with it open though. Im sure you could find someone to weld one up for you. Mine is just a plate I have to unbolt everytime I run it, but my buddy who also has a SRT4 has an eletronic one.

It is funny you should ask because the only car I have seen one on was an Srt4.
I have heard of people having issues with the electric ones, usually not too long after install. Mainly the heat is the biggest issue.

ATP TURBO - The Premiere Provider of Turbocharging Components

This would be the one I would use if I was going to do a cut-out.

couple of my friends have eletronic cut outs on there cars, but i dont think they are car specific u just weld them in and wire them up. impretty sure they are pretty universal just have to get the right diameter

This one here is the one they installed on a GTI. It's boost controlled so you go into boost and it opens, letting you keep your stock exhaust. Keeping the neighbors and the police happy. Seems to be a common complaint when it comes to bigger exhaust is too loud. This gives you the option to stay under the radar..

ive seen that one before, it looked crazy cause there was like a wastegate attached to the exhaust pipe, i remeber being real confused when i saw it on a car, i was like WTF how does that control boost?
