I have been researching and no one has said wether or not it it will go to the 2g head without porting. Everyone says its an upgrade but are runners same size? I do not want to port my head so just curious if it will fit.

No, you dont need to port. You can just throw it on there. The ports are similar to a 1g but the runners are shorter like the 2g.

I have recently called up one of my local Mitsubishi dealerships and have put in a request for a 1995 Lancer Evolution III intake manifold. They said they will try their best to get one from this Japanese model car. I will try and remember to keep people informed. Other than finding people who have Evo IIIs and making a transaction with them, I believe the dealership is one of the best and sure-fire approaches you can take. If you go to a "good" Mitsubishi dealership (and not one that would be considered worthy of "Satan" status), then if they have trouble finding the part for you, most other people will have trouble too.

the port size on the 1g head is twice as big. why would you want to put an evo 3 manifold on there. Like mentioned above its has short runners like a 1g manifold so just put something that will surely fit and give best results.

Short answer, NO. I'm laying the 1g intake manifold gasket over the EVOIII intake manifold as I type this. The 1g intake manifold gasket opening is so large it hangs outside of the mounting flange of the EVOIII intake manifold. Typically, the 1g head runner is smaller than the intake manifold gasket, but not enough here to make it work reliably. You'd most likely need a bridge plate that could bridge the size difference. Maybe something as simple as a phenolic spacer that is carefully ported out.
