Exhaust leak cause bad hot starts?

I dont see how it would affect your starting. An you should probably give a better description of your post. Is it turning over a few times then starting or starting then stalling those kinda things help.

I would personally say yes. Mine had two exhaust leaks at two different times...one at the manifold and one at the down pipe. Both were causing bad hot starts. I would either have to hold the ignition on for about 4 to 5 seconds...or more or try and start it a couple of times. I believe its because the exhaust leak does'nt leave enough pressure in the engine for it to turn over quickly. What you can try is let it turn over two or three times, let go, and start it again and it should start up nicely. But overall i think that fixing that leak will fix the issue or at the least make it better.

thats odd because my old dsm had an exhaust leak but it always started up fine. maybe its not from your exhaust leak?

where was the leak? my is at the flex-pipe so its close to the Oxygen Sensor. Idk its horrible. could it be faulty Fuel Injector rings, i reused my old ones after i rebuilt the head.
thanks for the help
