hey guys my slave cylinder has blown twice in the past year. :barf:before that i've never had a problem with it. my thoughts are that the original was oem. thats when i had no problems. it was original since 99. when it did blow i replaced it with a cylinder from autozone NOT oem. and again it blew about 10 months later. the thing is that i'm not beating up the car. im not sure why its blowing. is there an upgrade for this? does this mean something with the tranny? the tranny has a 2100lb ACT set up and a fidenza flywheel only 2yrs old. and it was rebuilt 3 years ago so i know its ok.:thumb: what could this be? what to watch for?WTFWTFWTF

I would not use a longer rod. I have the act 2600 an fidanza flywheel. less then 1000 miles on both an it started slipping when i had the longer rod. I could not figure out why it was doing that after 600 plus into my drive train an babying the car, i was ready to swerve into the nearest tree i was so mad. I took out the longer slave rod, installed the factory one, bled it out 3 times and adjusted the clutch pedal under the dash, it engaged right off the floor at first after driving it for a few days it has gotten a bit stiffer an engagement has come off the floor a little, and No more slipping at all i have tried to make it slip. So don't do that my opinion. As for the slave itself sometimes they just blow out man. Might take uou a while to get a good one.

Ive had mine in for about 3 years now with no problems with my ACT 2600. Maybe i just got lucky??
