I stopped for a school bus and got rear ended by a minivan doing 45-50mph. The bumper is damaged abit but then all a sudden like 30min later my clutch acts up and is sticking to floor. So i check my fluid and its empty. So i added some in and sure enough it all drains out. I check my clutch line (or w/e u call it). My dad took it off and theres a crack in it. So we go to Autozone and buy some piping and rebend it as close as we can and bleed the clutch. it still grinds alittle now and im wondering if it was caused by the accident. I just had the tranny and clutch replaced like 6months ago and it just started after the accident and also how do i report this to the insurance company if it is a result of the accident. thanks

Have you checked to see if your shift linkages weren't damaged? or even your shift linkage brackets? That could be a possibility. Hope that helps and good luck with it.

So you got hit by a minivan and it was their fault. Did you get there information, and take pictures of the damage. If you did all the above then the minivan owners insurance should have your car inspected and then pay for whatever damages were caused. As far as the clutch line leaking, if it wasnt like that before the wreck and you have records of when you got the tranny rebuilt or whatever i think thats enough evidence to atleast make them think about fixing that also. Thats just based off of info from my past wrecks(which were all caused by minivans). Hope you get your car fixed.

Also, pull your tranny and have the clutch disc itself checked. I got rear-ended once by an older Accord, and it pretty much shattered my clutch disc.
