no fuel pressure?
Ok, I finished my 16g upgrade a while ago and I started the car a couple of times since today and it would fire up great, I even rev'd it up to 4k and the car felt good. Today I started the car and let it idle because I want to start tuning with pocketlogger and after a few minutes the car slowly died out (stopped running). I tired starting the car again and it would turn for a while but not fire up also after a couple of seconds of the car turning is started to make a cycling sound like something spinning really fast. I popped the hood and I have no fuel leaks however I did noticed that my fpr gauge read 0 psi. I dont understand how all of a sudden I'm losing fuel pressure. is the the fpr or fuel pump. Any thoughts I need to get the car running and tuned before winter. thanks

Pinch off the return line and see if the pressure goes up.

I pinched the return line off my afpr like 1992awdlaser said and tried starting up the car and the gauge still reads zero. Also I know the pump will not prime if the key is in the on position the engine must be cranking. When I try cranking the car I don't hear the pump priming or even trying to prime.
-Because I rewired the pump myself I checked the ground and to see if any wires were lose and nothing everything is in fine.
-I disconnected my battery to resent my ecu and connected it and tried again and still nothing
I don't understand how the car was working perfectly and so smoothly then all of a sudden just die out? The last thing I did was plug in my my OBDII, connect it to my PDA start the car and try to run pocketlogger (It didn't connect which is a different issue) after about 2 mins the car's rpms slowly reduced and the car quietly turned off.
If this is a fuse issue where and what fueses should I check and if its that MPI Relay Keltsi90 mentioned what should I do with that to see if its ok.
thanks

Since it slowly turned off I am going to say the fuel pump is bad. Take the assembly out and apply battery voltage and ground to the terminals to see if it will turn on.

hey 1992awdlaser, I pulled out my fuel pump and I hooked it up to a battery and I worked fine. I'm going to retrace my rewiring again are there any other ideas you might have. The last time I tried starting my car all that happened was the car was turning, fuel pressure is still at zero and I did not hear my pump prime. thanks

Since you rewired it you need to check that your getting ample voltage and a good ground.
If you also used a relay you should check that it's working correctly and verify that the pump works when you trigger the relay.

Sounds like you may have bumped the commutator from the bad spot in the starter.
Still sounds like a bad pump to me..
