Good day
My name Is Rob. I'm new to the DSM world, and also very very green to these forums. I come from the Honda side of things and after spending a few months with my newly aquired 95 gs-t, I'm in love. The power is impressive, handling whoops my Honda on all fronts, and the over all feel of the car is just superb to anything I've owned from accords, to my most recent, a modded 89 civic hatch si.
I come to this site for suggestions and help however, as the last person that owned my newly beloved 2g DSM was a ####tard ricer.
I bought it with everything looking and testing out to be in good order. One of the fist issues I noticed was ricer neon. Uninstalled that and moved on to performance. I took it to a dealership to get a complete rundown on the car and also took it to my friend's garage and let them do a run down. The most significant thing (mechanic wise) was the turbo has an internal oil leak (not bad but notable), and the front suspension needed a little attention. Neither shop noticed that the horn doesn't work
. That's ok though, I totally understand.
Since then at only 99k miles the harmonic balancer went out (this one is a long story, #### cheap napa parts from previous owners), the ABS system died, the AC compressor clutch ate shit, and now I'm having issues with the throttle body AND a suspected fuel delivery issue. It's been popping up problems every couple weeks with something new. I have to agree with a post I saw earlier "My DSM, the car I love to hate."
So the turbo, yah I'm down to drop a k or so on a new turbo when the time comes. Suspension, well yah that's cool too, a few bills on struts is ok. But this is getting crazy. I can live without ABS, I mean shit, the fastest car I had was my civic, no power steering, no abs, no AC, I'm fine with that. What pisses me off is when I'm driving down the street and I have to walk home because the ####er breaks down.
Here are the symptoms that encompass hopefully the final major work I have to do on it until I start to mod.
A. The low and behold high idle issue. After the motor warms up it'll idle high if the weather is over 95ish degrees. I was stuck in traffic here in dallas one day and it was idling at almost 3k making me pull over and let it cool off for a few hours. when it was cool it would run like a dream, but 10 minutes on the road and the symptoms would show.
B. After the weather cooled off this fall, I lost the ac and cut the belt. I noticed the motor trying to stall while idling or even during mild acceleration. It would drop to almost 0rpm and jump to 1.5k and while cruising at 30 or so in 4th gear it would jerk occasionally and sometimes die until I push in the clutch. I can sit with the clutch in, press the pedal slightly to idle at about 2.5k rpm and it would drop about .5k randomly, then quickly recover.
This last point is the main issues at the moment. The first, "A", is probably due to a faulty IAC valve and a dirty throttle body, but issue "B" I'm thinking is likely a faulty fuel pump.
Tonight me and my beautiful GF walked home. Luckily it was only a half hour walk to her house to pick up her 06civic. How embarrassing. *hangs head*
I'm so upset about this but I'm willing to put in the wrench time if I can be confident that I can get this ride dependable. It is my ticket out of Texas as I'm trying to move to Portland Oregon soon, and these problems are just so overwhelming.
If any of you care to help me out and give some comments, or even a push in the right direction it would be awesome, I'm down to post more details if you all need them.

thanks for the help!
