Quick Apex-i S-AFC Question, am I understanding it?

Hi guys, this is a silly question I am sure, but I just wanted to get a concrete answer. I understand from reading that the Apex-i S-AFC functions by adjusting the pulse count in Hz from our MAF sensor, either speeding it up or decreasing it, so that the PCM get's tricked to run the injectors richer or leaner.

So a 0% correction on all RPM ranges, both High and Low Throttle, would = stock settings as if the APex-i S-AFC wasn't there in the first place.

Now my question is, am I correct in assuming that a +% adjustment at a given RPM point on the Apex-i S-AFC translates to a FASTER pulse rate, and thus a RICHER tune? And that a -% adjustment on the Apex-i S-AFC does just the opposite, slowing the "seen" MAF pulse rate to the PCM and thereby leaning out the tune?

I just want to make sure I have my thinking straight so even a yes or no would be greatly appreciated LOL! :) I am completely new to the DSM scene, having bought the car already done from a good friend! I am trying to learn everythign I can.

Thanks guys!

Honestly, ever car is different. The only way to tell what your car "needs" is to get a data logger so you can see whats going on.
