I have an evo III GT turbo setup for my 2G AWD, I was wondering if this thing would bolt up to my existing greddy hardpipes that I've been using with my T25, I have the J-pipe if it matter.

Thanks,
Brandon

The J-pipe won't mate up to the T25 LICP (S-pipe). You can cut the S-pipe and use a coupler or a 90* coupler to make it work, but you'd be best off just buying a new hard-pipe set that's made for a TD05 family turbo.

Good luck with the GT series (knock-off) turbo. There's a good chance of bearing/seal failure within the first 3000 miles. I'm sure you did the research and discovered that before you bought it, though. If not... good luck.

Its not a knockoff turbo, it came from Turbochargers.com and when it does start getting excessive play I'll rebuild it with MHI goodies.

The Evo3 GT turbo from Turbochargers.com is the original knock-off of the MHI unit. All the ones you see on ebay are copies of the GT, most likely made in the same Chinese factory as the GT.

Let me guess....it looks like this:

Good luck with that rebuild. The majority of Turbochargers.com Evo III GT's that I've seen in my shop failed from broken turbine shafts. When this happens, NOTHING is repairable.

This was also the problem at first with the eBay GT's, until they thickened the shafts to a Garrett T3-spec. What you end up with is a Garrett seal and journal bearings, and a MHI thrust plate, oil collar, and compressor seal. Once you buy two parts kits, you've almost spent enough to buy another junk eBay turbo.

i bought that turbo no problems with it..its currently on its 3rd owner and still running strong. It would definetly be ok justcut up your old factory lower ic pipe to get the L bend your gonna need.
