I'm having problems with my 95 Eagle Talon Tsi.
I't just happened this week, 1st happened on tuesday, when i start my car
and the engine just shut within 2 minutes. And this morning it happens the same
scenario that happened to me last tuesday, and suddenly when i got the car started
again the Check Engine light just popped out of nowhere.
i tought it would be the battery or alternator, but i rememer i just got new battery and new alternator replace last 4 months. And i red some of the forums that related in
the same situation i have, unfortunately i need some better ideas and advice
to do with my situation.Pls Help Me :cry:

is there any place where i can get my check engine code read?
and does it cost money?

I took mine to my local advanced auto and had it checked. They do it for free.

dude i know this may sound weird but check the security system on the car if you have one. back in the day mine went bad and my car would start and run for liek 10 seconds then shut off.

I changed my battery terminals, and the CEL is gone.
I changed my Starter, but my car still shutts off.
I'm guessing it would be a bad Relays.
but im not so sure.. HELP ME PLEASE:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

When it shuts off, does it bog, sputter, or make any motor noise? Or does it just turn off like you turned the ignition off? Can it be restarted right after it shuts off, and will it do it again in another 2 minutes?

Well my car will start normally, and when it shuts off its like normal sound when u turn on ## engine. it doenst make any noise or anything,
and my car doesnt start back on right away if my car shutts off.
but im suspecting it might be main relay or CPS.
but i still need help pls:cry:

I changed my Starter, but my car still shutts off.

A starter just starts the engine, it doesn't keep it running.

Does it try to start if you try it right after it dies, or does it crank but not fire at all, or does it not even crank over? How long does it have to sit before it will start again? Does anything else act funny when it dies -- Lights, wipers, heater motor, power windows don't work, relays click, etc?

Well my turbo itself is fine, nothing else wierd happening to it.
and when my car starts, and dies, it will crank but not fire up.
sometimes i just started my car for 2 mins and my car will just die out of nowhere.
and it happened to me on the freeway while going back home from work.
and it took me like good 5 mins to start it back up.
but as of now. when my car die, it will take me alist 30min to 1 hour to get it
started. I'm still checking everything under the hood. but im really suspecting
its my CSP,CAS, or my main relay..

could be a coil, when it gets hot it looses spark.

start it up and when it dies see if you still have spark.

yes you could do a spark test..Take an old plug attach some sort of clip to the center, ground to anything attach to wire and have someone look if its sparking when you turn it over..

Ok. folks, I recently got back from vacation yesterday.
and I checked my car earlier.
I checked the coils = good
I checked The boost leaks= theres none
Alternator,Battery,Starter = good (new)
timing belt is = good
sparkplugs and sparkplug wires are still good.

My car is getting all the electrical circuit but its still not firing up.
I changed the Main relay and still doesnt fire up.
What could be the reason of this?
could it be Crankposition sensor,Cam position Sensor or Fuel pump?

Please Help me out. I need more better opinions about my car not
firing up.

did you ever get that check engine light checked?? it could give you a direction to go. was there any other running problems?? weird idle, loss of power, anything??

Ok. i just got my check engine light read today.
it came up with Crank Position Sensor.
And theres no other problem with the idleling or loose power.

Alright folks,
I just got done changing my crankshaft position sensor.
Car started finally!!! and I test drove it over 30min.
it doesnt die anymore, And I'll get back to forums
next week if something happen again.
But thank you to all the people the reply to this Topic.
