Well I am pretty happy with the results of my project.

98 GSX - 2.3 FFWD Stroker w/ 3582HTA (in FP housing)

93 octane @ 26psi = 495whp / 469wtq
5gal 93 oct & 2 gal VP109 @ 30psi = 553whp / 498wtq

Tuned by Nate at TPG of course! THANKS NATE!!!!!

I had a couple of issues on the dyno. First, I didn't have the wiring correct at the time for my Full Blown dual pumper so I had no fuel gauge which is why we didn't know how much fuel was left when we put the VP109 in. After the tune I filled up and determined I still had about 5 gallons left when we put the 109 in! Way too much. Figured out the wiring now and I have a working gas gauge!

I also had some misfiring issues. Colder plugs were installed, but it didn't fix it. Just couldn't push past 30psi without misfire. A few days later it was discovered that the ground bolt/wire on my starter had stripped and worked its way out and was sitting on the tranny. Fixing it now with helicoil in the starter bolt holes - hopefully that is the issue because I have new plugs, new wires, and Dynatek so not sure what else to check.

We did find a leak at my EGR blockoff a few days after being on the dyno so I think with that fixed, boost will hold longer so I will probably head back to the dyno again this weekend. The leak was bad enough that A/F went from 14.7/15 at idle to 17.9 or leaner WTF

The problem is - now what? As usual with me, the fun is in the planning and "getting there" (no, not that I'm saying I've "arrived" or anything - just that I met my goals) and now that I have it, I sort of don't want it. I'm considering parting it out already. I must be screwed up in the head or something because I always do this!! :notgood: I've put about 400 miles on the setup and want something else already?? HAHA

I would leave it the way it is. Run it at the track, go to meetings, showing your buddies, girls the power it has, and thats it, if you want more power than what you got then you will join the big league and thats big money. Most likely your car will be more broken that in the street if its not that way yet. I would just move to another project car, and leave this one for fun, and replace the parts whenever they go bad.

My thinking:

Okay, you met your goal. Now change the direction of the car. If it was a drag car, make it a road race car. If it was a road race car, make it a drag car. (Got 10's? Go for a couple of minutes. Own the corners? Make it launch hard). You can always change your view.

Good luck to ya man :thumb:

Those are some pretty good numbers. I can't wait to get the last few things I need for my car. Nate and Curt Brown will be tuning my car.

I would say max out your current setup. Theres always nitrous, meth injection as well as switching over to E85 and throwing some massive injectors in there to support it.

I would say keep it as is for a year, or atleast 6 months, and see if you feel that way afterwards. And in that time you can show it off.

Get another car in the mean time :)
