Sorry if this is a repost for i could not find my solution through search.

Anyways on to the business.... So tonight i wanted to show my friend my car as i drove away from his house so i drove out and got to about 2000 RPM when i floored the gas and he said about the time he heard me really get on it (meaning around 4000RPM probably) he said a bunch of smoke came out. But once i let off it stopped smoking. Its about 50 degreese F maybe a bit higher maybe lower outside and my car was completely warmed up. My brother says my turbo probably blew up although it still boosts and nothing sounds abnormal. There is no knocking. This kind of has me worried please help.:dsm::(

Your brother obviously knows nothing about turbocharged cars to claim "the turbo blew up" so quickly without taking the proper diagnostic steps.

What color was the smoke? It's absolutely normal for there to be a little bit of richness causing some excess gray smoke under hard acceleration. This could be from:

- Spark Plugs that are dirty from lots of daily driving.
- Retarded timing caused by a faulty knock sensor.
- Too much fuel during daily drive cycles caused by a bad o2 sensor.
- Vacuum / Boost leak.

...and the list goes on.

If the smoke was any color other than gray, it could be a series of other problems.

Lol. Well ive put 2000 miles on it since beginning of June. But we were not sure what color the smoke was because it was dark but he said there was alot of it like a 15 foot jet out the back of my car. I thought it was because i romped on it so quickly it ran rich or maybe there was alot of white plume because it was cold out. Ill have to check it out tomorrow but this was this first time it has happened.
