Resolved 2G What does the MFI relay do?

Gives power to the ECU, along with other things in the engine bay.
I have read it turns on a lot of things under the hood but where does it gets triggered?

Mine has power, mine has ground, but even with the vehicle has been sitting here for 15 minutes running it still does not turn on?

Do you have to have a good thermostat sensor to tell the computer that you are at operating temperature to turn on that relay?

Unfortunately, this is not helpful if you have a 420A non-turbo engine.
It's really hard for me to get interested enough in 2GNT cars to figure out how they work and write it up.

It’s beating the dead horse, but what a different world we’d be in if the US and Canadian markets followed suit with the rest and non-turbo 2Gs came with the 4G63…. for one, this question would be completely answered!

I don’t expect anyone will blame you for lack of interest in the 420A. LOL
