My suspension is clicking when making sharp turns. That means either cv joints, ball joints or stupid roll bars. I was under the car locating it and I noticed my inner cv shaft has a lot of play. It's the inner axle that goes into the inner cv boot to the tranny. I'm guessing about 1/8th to 1/4 inch of play. I tested the passenger side and it was rock solid. Can anyone confirm if the play is normal or not?

in/out play is normal, if you can't decide which side is making the clicking, jack it up and put it on jack stands, set parking and have someone listen out front while you turn the wheel from stop to stop with the car running and in gear and clutch out (if equipped)
Please play it safe.

It's not in and out play. It was up and down. I could grab the axle, pull it down or push it up about an 1/8th of a inch. I checked the ball joints and they looked fine. Checked both sides of the CV boots and they were not ripped. I also jacked it up, had the car running in drive, and slowly turned the wheel left and right while my friend looked. He thinks it's either the inner cv shaft play or the front sway bar links.
