maybe ppl arent reading my post i got a lot more than 400 bucks worth of sh!t for a 400$ pos truck but thats not the question

I have 6 dsms and i was thinking about using this turbo on a 1g stroker build up i just want to know specs and if and how itll work the car is a toy it wont be driven every day i have several others for that this car is more of a do i want to take it to the track this weekend or a car show you know

You basically traded your truck for a set of pistons and rods. The other stuff is junk. Everyone will tell you that because we all know it. The FMIC is from ebay, the wastegate (I'm guessing godspeed or some other Korean rubbish) and the turbo will take a dump shortly after installed. This is just my opinion but the pistons and rods alone make it worth the trade I'd say... Good find!

IIRC, the manifolds for the dual scroll compressors are expensive. Just a thought.

No were trying to tell you that, that turbo is junk. Plus if that manifold is from ebay I wouldnt trust that either. There certain things that ebay is good for, exhaust, intake, ect. But there turbos, turbo kits, manifold are all junk.

the front mount is definately not from e-bay i have 2 of them and a few of my buddys have e-bay front mounts its twice as thick and twice as heavy as them i have a faded reciept from slowboy from it

Yeah i know i got more than my 400 bucks worth i just want to know specs on the turbo and how and where you get a down pipe set up ?? just curious i might sell it i might toss it in the back of my garage with all my other dsm sh!t not sure yet just want some info thats all

There is an ebay turbo thread around here. It did fine but they supplied the wrong oil pressure to it. Thats why it blew. People need to quit saying the OP got ripped. He lost no money on it.

+1, especially with a name like super T70.

I'm not nit pickin but Turbonetics has a few turbos that are called Super "XX". Slowboy had them listed this way also before they changed there site around. I had asked the difference but never got an answer. They have a few turbos labeled like this.

Turbonetics Inc. | Home | Products | T3 Turbo | T3 Turbocharger

Turbonetics T3 Series - T3 Super 60 / Stage 1 .48AR - Turbochargers.com

But in general yes, anything that says Super on it isn't going to be on the high end side of the quality bench.

Here is another link that gives a little more info on the "Super" series T3/T4 Hybrid Turbochargers

Super Series Compressor Wheels
The TURBONETICS Super Series of TO4B compressor wheels are a full 0.250" in diameter larger (3") than their standard factory counterparts (2.75"). This results in faster boost response at lower engine and turbo speeds. Available in the S, V, and H-3 trims, the Super Series compressor wheels will fit standard compressor housings but require a matching backplate.

Sounds like some surging could be an issue depending on the setup.

Ok well thanks for the input i'm still not sure what im going to do with it i'm going to eventually have to find a turbo for my 1g stroker set up i was just wondering if i should try and use this one or not

I can't believe everyone went on and on about how junky the turbo is and no one was able to tell him what he wanted to know. All he wanted to know was the SPECS, not how many of you thought it was junk and weather he should keep it or sell it off. Seriously some people on here have selective reading.

For someone who is complaining about the responses in this thread, you haven't contributed much either. Part of OP's question was if it was good to use on his 2.3L. EVERY DSMer on this site tries to look out for each other and we all know that it's a crapshoot when it comes to eBay turbos, hence the reason why everyone raised the big red flag as soon as it was posted. While I do agree that many have selective reading, it's tough NOT to post these types of responses when someone posts up. I for one would hate to see someone use a junk (for arguements sake, the potentially junky) turbo and know that I didn't say anything about it originally.
