alright so about two weeks ago i blew my motor. I had just finally finished the car too just my luck. The mods were big 16g, front mount fmic, 3in exhuast, intake, 255 pum, 680 injectors and tuned on e-85 with afc. Now that i need a new motor i figured i would build it up a little. The issues i need help with is if i should buy a na motor or a turbo motor. From what i know the blocks are the same so why not just buy a na motor and build it up. Just looking for opions and advice on what too do. I would also like to budget the project to around 2gs.

If you go with the NA 4g63, just make sure to get pistons/rods as the NT pistons dont hold up to much detonation at all...Other than that, they work perfect...I have one in my GSX...Good luck on the build!

**Edit** Well, unless you already have the 6-bolt swap in it, or want to swap one in, your going to have to go with the turbo block...again, good luck on the build

I believe the NA blocks were not drilled for oil squirters and had a few small differences than the turbo motors. Some hardcore drag racers will use the NA blocks so they don't have to fill in the oil squirter holes and whatnot. But definitely get some 1g rods with 2g pistons if you're doing a stock rebuild. Are you gonna go 6 bolt or stay 7 bolt? What is wrong with your block now that you can't rebuild it?

well i wanted to go 6 bolt but i may have found a motor from a 99 so if i can get it cheap enough ill go that route. My block is donzo i threw a rod through the block somehow. so now it has a big hole in it. can someone help me out with what all needs to be done if i do decide to go with a 6bolt na motor.
