Where can i find High Comprestion Pistons?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

he has the non turbo 4G63 it doesnt work like that

i dont think they make any higher compression pistons than the ones you have

just turbo your car..............

I can't say that I have actually seen anything. I guess the only thing I can say is mill the head, deck the block. I had a friend who completely built up his non turbo 4g63 while my cousin turbo'd his non-turbo 4g63. My cousin did a stock swap. My buddy spent 10k on his whole setup. My cousin just walked all over him. I mean my buddies car was pretty damn quick, it would beat most hondas, etc, but the stock turbo setup is still superior to that. Just don't want to see you drop tons of money on a non turbo setup when you can spend way less to make more power.

Well the true reason that i want to do this is because i want to beat the N/T Record. witch is a 13.3 but its a 420a the next fastest n/t is a 4g63 but is running like a 16 i just wanna prove people wrong alot of people said that i cant do it in my town but that just makes me want to work harder to prove them wrong. LOL
thanks for the help!

well at first i wanted to put a turbo on it then i started to slap bolt ons on the car and the i started to really feel improvments. then i was like i should shoot for the n/t record. but at the same time i want to turbo it. idk im leaning more towrds n/a so its more reliable.

well i think that is the best go for a lighweight flywheel

and a stage 2 clutch

uh.. go get your head machined and shaved so your compression is higher get a thinner head gasket

all of this will be perfect

but if you do this that would be awesome

correct me if im wrong please.

what if you stroke your mottor from 2.0 to a 2.4 and get yourself the pistons shown on magnus website.
or even go crazier with it, if money is ok, do a 4g64 bottom end with your 4g63 head and just keep your 4g63 block a side just in case you would like to know what boost feels like.ROFL

Here's what you do. if you want a "reliable" engine. Get ahold of the guy's at Wiseco! just get on their website. And shoot them an e-mail, They built my friend some bad ass pistons for his lancer that he turbo'd. They can make any bore size and compression ratio you want. your gonna have a hella hard time trying to find off the shelf high compression pistons. so custom is probably gonna be the best route for what your trying to do.

Here's some brilliance in a basket. You won't rev as high but you'll make mad torque.
4G64 with 2G 4G63 head, 10.5:1 compression ratio pistons (2G based), lightened rods (again, 2G based), longer overlap cams, and hotter plugs. Definitely need full-seal o-ring for the top seat on the piston though. That's just the start, but pretty quick. Sorry to say, but many things may need to fabricated. If that doesn't work out, just change the pistons to turbo and turbo your "4G63.5T".

what i said tow posts ago just more in detail.

The 4g61 anf 4g67 heads have smaller cmbustion chambers. 43cc vs. 47cc (all 4g63, g4cs and 4g64 motors). This will up your compression significantly. The 4g61 head has the smaller 2g style intake ports.

Are you sure about the intake ports. I pulled a head of a early 90's Hyundai 1.6L DOHC it has the 43cc combustion chamber but the 1G big ports.

I am building an N/A eclipse to beat that same 13.3 record. The only downside is I live at a 4500FT elevation so I have a 30 PSI compression lose per cylinder being up this high. So I have to be creative and gut the crap out of my 1G. I have a Hyundai 2.0 DOHC the G4CS engine. I plan on having my friend at the machine shop shave my crank down and mill the head that I pulled off the 1.6L. I am trying to find a galant GSX trans so I can get the beter acceleration down the track.\

EDIT: Oh and get ahold of jack at jacks transmissions. A lot of cars that he has done has high compression pistons. I believe in his car they where 10.1:1 pistons.

Yes. There are some 1.6 L engines that have the head swap. Because they have had head damage and that JY head fit. The 4g61 head does have a the small ports. Was it a 4g61 (regardless of the displacement)?

Have u installed a turbo intake cam?? If not do a search its not much but it gains hp

no i havent im puting in 272's when i get my head done right now all i need to no is if that head will work? 92 7bolt head on a 91 6 bolt block. someone please respond soon befor i dump to much $ in it and find out it will not work.
