So I bought this car back in Feb. with no A/C. Which is not an issue living here in Wyoming but soon I am going to be moving down to Dallas and we all know what that is like. ROFL.

Anyways, whenever I turn the AC button on from inside the cab I can see my idle drop as if the engine is under load and I can hear it, however no cold air comes out. This car was previously owned by a mechanic, and I thought he said something like the A/C condenser has a leak in it? Does this sound about right and how much would it cost to repair this if I did it myself? And if so any kind of faqs I can read on the subject? Thanks.

The reason why it doesn't feel cold is because if there is a leak in the condensor then all the refrigerant is gettting out. Which means no refrigerent = no cold air. As far as the prices on the condensor just go to your local autozone or whatever you have out there and check. If you haven't done an A/C service i would recommend bringing it to a dealership so they can use the machines and then check for other leaks while they're there. hope that helps :)
