i have a 20g, and lets not go there...


my question is on a 4g63t engine. upgrading the 14b. what turbo can i upgrade to, without touching the injectors n installing the SAFC. I HAVE A WALBORO 255LHP FUEL PUMP, CAN STOCK 450'S HANDLE A BIG16 OR CAN THEY ALSO HANDLE EVO3 BIG 16G??????

I WANNA STAY AWAY FROM SAFC N INJECTORS!!!1 ### reply and let me know ASAP witch turbo is perfect n that i wont have to touch injectors nor have to do anythin with safc!!! thnxxx
 
Im no expert but im preaty sure u would at least upgrade your injector to some 550 cc or 650 cc for a 16g or b16g evo3
 
thats a bit dangerous not upgrading your injectors.



u mean 450s are too small for big16g?, i know ppl that have big 16g turbos and they have no SAFC but if they do have bigger injectors they would be wasting tons of gas becuz the ecu cant control them, they have no safc with a big 16g witch mean they have stock 450s????

don't go over about 14psi. You'll run into fuel cut after that. I'm guessing you don't want an afc because your scared to tune. If your looking to make power without tuning I'd get a set of evo 560's and a jeff o chip burned for your setup.

ok uhm... so i still need safc at the end of the day, the ecu dont know how to control bigger than 450's.

what turbo should i put withc replaces the 14b without touching the stock injectors, and staying away from safc,????

man i ran 16pnds of boost on a 14b??? this makes no sense. no safc stock injectors
 
what numbers are they pushing with their b16g and how many pounds of boost. i see no point on upgrading to a 20g if you are just going to be boosting 14lbs.

its not worth it bcuz i was going to run 25pnds with 750s nd an safc



i wanna keep stock 450's with no afc.
 
Any turbo will work, just don't go over 14psi. However anything larger than a 16giish turbo and you will be losing performance. Heed my above post and you will be a happy young lad.



but this makes no sense.. my friend had a 1g dsm a evo3 big16g he was boostin 20psi, no problem and im a million % sure he had no safc. .... he coulnt of had bigger injectors.


why would i get fuel cut at 14psi???
 
hot air and not enough fuel could cause some serious engine failures. however, you should try it then let us know what happens?
 
all cars will behave differently, even if you have the same mods as everyone else. i think that is a little too much for a 450. i could be wrong?

but if i put bigger injectors i need SAFC to control my injectors after... and if thats the case #### 16g im keeping my 20g n gettn the injectors n the fking safc.. this is bullshit. i ran 16pnds on a 14b with everything stock....

but remember playing with too much boost could lead to knocks and detonation. your intercooler can only keep the air temps down at to some point. it is on ongoing battle to achieve good horsepower.

i do have a 1g 32" by 8" intercooler:D i think ill be okay NO? all i want is around 20psi im lookinggg

After reading this thread I now know why people that are making power stop posting on forums. I have a DSMLink log (somewhere on the laptop) of a stock 14b @ 18 psi with stock 450cc injectors and there @ 123%, @ 21 psi the IDC was at 167%... You might was well just run your car into a pole if you think your going to run 20 psi on ANY turbo with stock injectors.
