I've been having Idle Surge lately, yeah I know it's more then likely my ISC.
But along with this, after about 10 minutes of driving, my engine idles at about 500 with surge, I've adjusted my BISS, No luck.
So I thought I might try something, I unplugged my ISC, and it does still surge, but it doesn't bog down that low anymore after 10 minutes.
So does anyone have any guesses on this?
Also is it safe to drive with an unplugged ISC?
I'd rather Idle at 1000 and surge then idle at 500.
Main reason for this is because I don't want to slide backwards waiting on a hill and slam into a mercedes. ROFL
Nothing of value would be lost, yet i'd still get sued ROFLROFLROFL
Can you guys help?

The ISC is a stepper motor that allows regulated air into the engine when the throttle plate is closed, so adjusting your BISS screw won't solve your surging. Try going through this walk-through to rule out what could be causing your problem.

Well, to be honest if your ISC is malfunctioning it could cause more damage plugged in. A bad ISC could cause your driver on your ECU to blow. Like in this picture from a local board of mine.

I personaly have surge right now also. I bought a new ISC and it didnt help. I couldn't figure out what was my problem so I just disconnected both the idle switch and ISC. It idles at about 1000 or so but I don't mind.

I'd recommend going through vfaqs to rule out other possible problems. Don't give up like I did with a bandaid.
