I have been tinkering with my windows for a couple months now.

I got my drivers side to roll up and down without help or coming off track. but it rolls up really slow the last 3or 4 inches or so. The passengers side needs help up about halfway through.

I have cleaned rust out of the drivers side guide. Widened the guides on the lower door.( front and back of window) and I have widened the guide by the mirror. I have used white lithium grease and it works... but 3 or 4 days later it's no good again. I have made every adjustment imagineable to the regs.

For the meantime I picked up manual window regulators and I now know why the power ones don't work. These things are hella hard to crank up!!!

Any ideas NEW or creative ideas??

Tomorrow I am going to remove the lower guides and put some thinner rubber ("treated" with Nuvinyl) and I am going to remove the old lithium grease and do a general cleaning.
