I had an act 2600 clutch in my 92 GSX the car decided to take a crap on me by spinning a rod bearing. When the car was working it wouldn't shift at all (well maybe once and a while.. bearly) but I searched and seached and finally took the motor out and took apart the motor and trans. found out the disc was wearing from the edges and didn't look like an act disk (could that of caused the shifting issue???) everything else was in order. Im going to check if the pressure plate is warped if it comes out good what would you guys think if I used that pressure plate with a mitsu. disk?? I've come to the conclusion that it will wear faster but will it be fine like an act disk? and I have a light weight flywheel with the ring cut off on the rear of it; however, I think I'll use a stock flywheel this time though.. thanks in advance for the advice :)

would it go into gear with the car ONLY running or regardless of whether the car was running or not? did you check for your MC to see if it was leaking? my car had a similar issue and i replaced the MC, the Slave Cylinder, clutch/pressure plate, fork and pivot ball and it shifts like a dream now. . Im not sure which part was causing the problem but everything was pretty worn so i replaced it all and now it works great. Just thought i'd throw it out there

I would take the entire assembly out and have it mic'd for flatness. Whatever flywheel you have (do you trust it?) should be within spec at .608"-.613", if it isn't get it machined or trash it. As for your PP/disc, how badly worn is it? If it is wearing on the outside, chances are something isn't flat and the cost for benefit is up to you. If you have the cash, get a new ACT system (or good used) and replace everything 97boostTSI recommended. It's costly, but so is not replacing problematic parts and fixing it down the road. I would recommend replacing everything if they all have miles on them.

-act PP
-act disc
-flywheel

-oem fork
