I just got done installing my new Fidanza clutch, started my car and the engine sounds like crap not good at all like a soft knocking but not very loud at all.

We drained the oil and theres copper flakes everywhere! It was running just fine yesterday when we took it apart for the clutch and now this? How could this work?

I dont see how changing your clutch would have any effect on your engine in any way. the best thing for you to do before you run the car anymore is to drop the pan and and yank your rod caps and check your rod bearings and do the same with the mains. its best you find it now before you destroy your crank.

Best bet is to pull the pan and inspect the rods, and did you say copper flakes? that doesn't make any sense to me...

man if you dont want to drop the oil pan you need to drop the trans and check that the bolts to your flywheel are torqued to specs mine did the same thing but it was freakin loud knocking all i had to do is drop the trans and i checked the flywheel and all the bolts were only finger tight good luck

My car has 198,000 so it doesnt really surprise me but it was running great when we parked it nothing wrong with it. Yes we torqued down the flywheel bolts and the pressure plate bolts.

I havent popped open the oil pan because im just sick of it at this time after 2 days of doing the clutch, i will eventually get to it I guess.
