i heard that you can run just the fsmu and nothing else on stock injectrs and bottom end safely up to 8 psi of boost i am woundering if there is any truth or is it just here say

A SFMU (Super Fuel Management Unit) is not needed for stock injectors, use a 12:1 FMU with a 255hp pump. If you intend to run larger injectors, use the SFMU + 255hp.

Yes, you can use it if your car have stock fuel system. I have a walbro 255 and 550's and tried with a 8:1 FMU and it is too much fuel that the car won't rev when it makes boost. I prefer a 1:1 FPR.

Sfmu is what I belive you mean, and if your going to use stock injectors then you only need a 12:1 fmu and a 255lph hp fuel pump.

Edit: Sfmu = Super Fuel managment unit
Fmu = Fuel managment unit
The main different between the two is with a sfmu you can control idle/static fuel pressure therefore allowing you to use bigger injectors. You can also change the rate of the ratio with a sfmu, while with a fmu you need to buy a recalibration kit.

I prefer a 1:1 FPR.

The fuel pressure regulator on alot of GM cars is 1:1. I start with 42psi at idle, and end up at 63psi under 9psi of boost.

take a hack saw to a junkyard and you have yourself a free FMU.
