There is a sound coming from the rear passenger side of the car. It sounds like a whiring/grinding/rock tumbling/chain dragging/rattling sound. It isn't too loud, but you will notice it. The sound stays the same volume whatever speed i'm at, just as long as i'm moving. I noticed if i'm moving at like 2-5 mph and i hit the brakes hard, as the suspension compresses/decompresses, the sound will respond. The previous owner said he thought the sound was from the overly tightened wheel bearing that he had put on? I wanted the car so bad, i didn't pay attention to some of the stuff i should have. What do you guys think it could be?

Thanks!

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

One way to tell would be to jack the car up to were that wheel is off the ground. Then see if the wheel moves like it is loose. If it does move that means it is the wheel bearing.

I forgot to mention that i did jack the car up and try to shake the tire.... It was 100% solid.
