Okay yesterday when doing aome wiring I saw that on the ecu I was sold it says 90 manual turbo eporm. My car is a 91 awd turbo I was looking at the ecu pin out and I noticed that #6 and #14 are switched on the 90 then on the 91. My throttle body is pretty such empty it only has the tps on it. My car has very funny ilde at times and a bad o2 sensor at the moment. My question is Could this be my ilde problem? How can I make sure this is a ecu for a 90 like it says? do I need to change the wires around or what?
the top cover of my current ecu is off of my old ecu so I would be cross refencing mt old ecu so what else can I do, My co-worker told me that there are diferent ecu for ever different model. ex. fwd w/ turdo is diferent from awd w/ turbo and at to mt is diferent as well. so what do i do.

help anyone?

Well a 90 will work in a 91-94 but you have to swap a couple of pins around. same as vice versa.

A fwd will work in a awd I actually have a 94 ecu thats eprom from a FWD.

ECMs, ECUs for Eagle Talon

that should help you with the codes. Also open it up and see if it is an eprom.

The ecu is eprom BUT the case on it is the case off of my old ecu so there is really no way to tell what it is unless there are some special markings to look for or something.

Sorry if the original post was not clear the ecu is in my car and I have been driving it around but it doesn't run as powerful as it did before the ecu swap. THE QUESTION IS: will different STOCK ecu's make a car run more powerful then others?
