ok so heres the thing im not so sure about this car anymore it feels like the motor is on its last legs.:( it was good for a while untill a month or so ago.

the problems are if i let it sit for a few hours and start it it puffs out blue smoke for a second then runs clear but iv drivin behind it and when some one stomps on it it doesnt smoke at all not even up to seven grand then after shifting so im confused. AND the turbo squeels when its cold probly becuase its about to go :( but over all its a good car and gives me no troubles

so what are my problems? and should i even invest or sell it?

thanks guys!
steve

Could be the turbo going. You can buy a used T-25 and swap it in pretty cheap for a replacement if that's truely your problem. No reason to sell the car if that's it.

Are you sure it's the turbo squealing when it's cold? It could be a belt.

Yes it could burn oil from a bad turbo, if it's whining when it spools up then go ahead and swap it out for a 14b or a 16g and hopefully that'll be your issues right there.

If it only smokes for a sec at startup, why are you really concerned? Are you SURE it's the turbo squealing and not a belt? The turbo shouldn't be squealing. That's why I suggested a turbo swap.

The burning oil could also be a leaky valve seal. The leak is so slow that there is only enough oil at startup to smoke blue.

You could also have bad combustion at startup. That blue color is usually oil, but it could just be a bit rich or a poorly firing spark plug. Check your plugs and gap them correctly.

I think the turbo squeal is your bigger problem right now.

ya im absolutly 100 % positive its the turbo i know what a belt sounds like and it only happens when it spools up and burning oil just seems really bad to me but i guess your right its not to bad it has to sit for a whole day to do it so it must be a small leak.

But would it get worse over time ? and i have a nother question some one said when i floored it they saw white smoke out the exhaust right before shift ? is that ok? sorry for all the questions im still young learning about dsms and i really want to make sure this cars fine
