B&M clones

I was wondering if any one has had any problems with their short shifter clones off of ebay. I havent had any problems until recently but im not sure if it is a result of the short shifter itself. I think it is just because the car is old and the rubber that holds the cable in place just got old. If any of you think it was caused by the shifter than i may just remove it and put the factory one in cause i don't want to go through this again. I can not shift into 2nd 4th and reverse.

Check the bushings and the clips that hold the cables in place. also make sure you dont have the cables crossed.

lines aren't crossed. Its just that the rubber tubing that connects right before the bracket broke and now the cord is laying there and its clearly visible.
