I have a little dilema. During a boost leak test i found a leak coming from my BISS screw. Now, i searched and read that if you are set at your desired idle, to just put silicone over it and it wont ever leak again. But here is the problem, i would do that but my car idle's very oddly upon starting. The idle goes up, then down, up a little less, down a little less, up a little less, down a little less then settles. Sometimes i have to give it gas right when i start the car or when the idle goes down, it stalls itself out.

So can i just mess around the BISS and fix that or what? And is adjusting the BISS just as easy as screwing it in or out? Or is it not that easy?

Thanks,

Shane

My biss screw alway leaks. I put a bolt in it and it blocks off the air. The is suposed to be a cap over the biss screw but I have never seen one on any dsms around me. When adjusting the biss screw I alway turn the screw and move the CAS to adjust the ignition timing and the idle. You will need to ground a plug on the wiring harness and ground a pin in the diagnostic port. The time needs to be 5 degrees btdc. Ill get you the link in a second. good luck.

Well i like where my car is idling so i might just put silicone over it. But how can i fix my idle problem? When the idle settles, its just where i want it. But.... I dont know why it fluctuates.
