[RESOLVED] stupid sparkplugs

well im changing my spark plugs and went out and got myself a sparkplug socket set and the alls on the socket seem to be just a little to big. the set is made by duralast and i was wondering how the hell do i get these out? should i try a different brand. the walls on the socket are fairly thin so i dont know how much smaller they can get. any help would be nice. i have a 420 motor by the way.

Should be a 5/8 socket.

You should be able to fit nearly any deep 5/8" socket into the 420a's plug well.

...so, they're not 'stupid sparkplugs' now - called GM had to start this 5/8inch sparkplug nonsense back in the 70's

..and some motorbikes uses a 18mm sparkplug socket - just to warn you if you venture in that territory.
