External Wastegate

i am new at this dsm thing and i was looking at external wastegates...What do they do, do i need one, and what is a good one to buy???

They are used to have better control of the wastegate compared to internally gated turbos. Do you need one? - depends on the setup. A good company to buy is Tial. What size you need depends on how big of a turbo you want to run - you need a bigger wastegate to run lower boost on a big turbo.

Its really up to what you are wanting to do and the size of the turbo you are wanting to run. Just like said above. I have a tial 38mm and love it alot more overall control of the boost
