So, i thought i had some type of seal leak in my turbo(14b). so i took that bad boy off. turns out, the only place where air is leaking out is the oil feed and return, which to my understanding is ok because there is no oil pressure to seal the seals. I fixed a leak in my piping when i pressed it to 20 psi. IC piping only. so my question is now. When everything was installed, a BLT on the inlet of the turbo sounded like there was alot of air leaking out of the turbo. and the reason i though the thing had gone is because i had previously been getting creep up to 20 psi, which now is only going to 15 max. another reason is that all my oil was gone..... i figured it had blown into my intercooler, which turned out to be clean.... so now. turbo is out. There is Some Shaft play, not much. and the car never smoked to begin with. I want to eventually upgrade to an E3 16g. should i rebuild the 14b now? since it's out? i really don't wanna spend the 100 bucks. or is the whole thing ok. the pcv valve checked out. there isn't any pressure on the radiator hose. am i just paranoid here? I guess a little leak could cause a 5 psi creep decrease?

so what should i do. put everything together. fill up with new oil and keep my eye on the oil level, ( no oil under car). Or is there anythin else i should check while it's partially torn apart... Please don't just say hey, this is another one of those posts. and if i didn't see something when i searched. please link me to it. I really appreciate it guys.:thumb:

I've checked all around the underside of the pan/motor. No oil anywhere. Only a few drops around the nut on the oil pan from where it got on it while changing. Nothing around the turbo. I really can't think of anywhere else. I'm gonna wipe everything off really good and check it every day to see if i can find a leak. I might put some dye in there too. One thing i noticed is that there was still quite a bit of oil in the pan. it just wasn't showing on the dipstick... so i dunno. Any ideas?
