LOL, no a dealer can not do that. its a aftermarket part that tells the ECU how much fuel and how much timing to add.

you could go to a tuning shop, a safc you should be able to do your self wiht a logger

how would u rate the difficulty to install me and my dad are pretty good with cars soo we have alot of tools and i have basic no how and my dad is more expireanced......and if i got a SAFC would i need a logger cause arnt they lik $300

ok i guess im just thinking of the wrong parts either way id like to get the eclipse but i wanted to make sure i wasent getting in over my head with the SAFC thing

now all i gotta do is find out how to install this dang thing

thanks for all your help

SAFC will not work on a turbo 420A. Since the car was meant to be non turbo, you can only change the fuel in vacuum up to 0. You cannot do anything to change the fuel in positive boost.

Megasquirt on a difficulty rating of 1 to 10 to install is probably a 10.

Not sure on the SAFC part myself (I've never owned or dealt with them), but I do Megasquirt installs and I do not, and will never recommend the system to anybody based on how in depth the installs get.

Personally, I'd just look for another car.
