OK guys, here is my Second question.

When I bought the vehicle it was equipped with the ETS FMIC system, but I did not get the information on weather the MAF was upgraded when the FMIC was installed. Looking over the system this evening, I think that MAF is indeed upgraded to the 3" GM MAF.

The car also came with a MAF Translator, not installed but sitting inside a box in the trunk. So that kinda make me think the MAF is aftermarket as well.

Below are a couple of Pics, take a look and see if anyone can verify that it is the 3" GM MAF or possibly another.

Any help IDing this MAF will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like the GM MAF is plugged in to anything. But the 2g MAS is. Does it have a MAF-Translator anywhere? I don't see one. If not, then all you need is the translator box to set it up right and remove the 2g MAS.

You have a gm maf installed in the upper intercooler piping. But it is not hooked up. If the translator isnt installed the you cant run the car with the gm maf. Your car is still running off the 2g mas.
You can hook up the translator and run off the gm maf if you want but do a little more research before you do.

Looks like it was running on the 2G MAS, but being upgraded to the GM MAS. Before you hook up the MAFT, I would familiarize yourself with the car and get a few logs of idle, cruise & WOT. This way when you are figuring out the tune with the GM MAS, you already have some good data from the stock unit to help you out. The GM MAS can be kind of bitchy in wet conditions, high humidity, or if you have the pcv routed like stock and oil gets on the sensor.

Interesting. When I bought the car it was in this condition, but the engine does run (pretty well in fact). The issue is the Clutch is gone, which is one of the first things to be fixed.

I just happened to be looking at the current setup and notice what I believed to be the 3" GM MAF. I will be taking your suggestions to heart and getting to know the equipment a little bit better, and will get a logger to get some baseline runs while utilizing the 2G MAF.

Thanks Guys, learning on a STEEP learning curve here. Comments are appreciated.
