I searched everywhere but can not find what I'm looking for anywhere. I finished my head swap last week and the car was only spooling to 10psi (I now believe this may have been caused by a boost leak) so i turned the MBC up a little bit and the car spooled to 15 psi once and I heard a loud pop and immediately it started running very rough and wanting to stall. It turns out I popped the charge pipe off. Seeing this I replaced the hose clamps with T-bolt clamps and put the pipe back on but the car is still running rough and stalling. The funny thing is that the stock boost guage is reading 14 psi and the autometer is reading 0. What could cause this? I am stumped.

I don't think it's a boost leak because I just put new intake and exhaust manifold gaskets on and I've checked all my pipes etc since the incident. I will check the timing tomorrow.

You should try a boost leak test first. Just looking at the pipes and gaskets isn't enough sometimes. Try the test see what you come up with.

The factory gauge doesn't actually read boost pressure, it shows what the ECU "thinks" the turbo boost is. It is highly inaccurate and that is the reason to install an aftermarket gauge in a DSM.
