Buying a used AWD tranny what should i change?

I just won a AWD tranny for my 91 galant......since its used what parts should i change? I already have a clutch of course.

Depends on your budget. If you have time and money, take it apart/ or someone else/ and chec everything, cause later if it is somehting wrong with it it going to cost you double. I suggest change at least 1-2 gears and all the synchro's. Plus of course all the seals and some bearings if necessary.

the synchro's in my tranny are SHOT! the damn thing crunches in almost every gear. The clutch was the original clutch so i guess it was matted with everything else. The new clutch just doesn't agree at all.

Just go one step at the time, but do it the very first time.
