Hey does any one know if evo or 2g eclipse have 550cc injecters and will they work on a 1g?

Evo's have 560's. They flow more like 580's though. You do kow you need something to control these right? Oh, 2g's come with 450's.

control what? the injectors? you mean if he put a 255 high pressure fuel pump he better have something to control it with. FPR. or are you talking like AFC?

You can't just put in higher flowing injectors without tuning it. The ECU thinks they are still 450's and opens them accordingly, resulting in the car running too rich. You need to compensate with dsmlink, a chip, or an afc. Or any other tuning device.

Bigger fuel pumps do not need to be 'controlled'. But a 255 will overrun the FPR, that is why people upgrade FPR's.

Nicks2319 answered it accurately. I will just add to it.

If you don't have an safc, for example, and you put in 550's. You will be injecting 22% more fuel then what is suppsoed to be.

If the fuel pump over runs the fpr, the extra fuel will wash down the cylinder walls. This will eventually cause the piston rings to be contaminated, which will requirea rebuild. The injectors will also cause this because of the extra fuel.

If you want me to go into more detail let me know.

So I could go get some evo injecters and put them on my 1g and then put my 2g maf on and would I still have to run a SAFC? :dsm::dsm:

No, you need to be able to tune your car. When i got my first 2g, The A$$ clown who owned it before me had 660's in and no tuning and was like "I dont know what is wrong with my car". So i bought it for cheap and went back to 450's and it ran like a top.

thanks
