Boost leak?

when i drive i can hear the turbo spool when i give it gas , and i hear the bov go off also. The boost showing 10 psi. When I floor the car i wil hit 10 psi, hear turbo spool, but it feels like i'm going no where. Like i'm hitting a wall. The car will get to 5000rpm . but after that its like dead. I get 10psi but dont feel the turbo at all. please help just got the engine back in. also when my bov goes off it makes a faltering sound, or wosh sound.

Definitely do a boost leak test, you have a Greddy BOV yes? I know you can adjust those for different amounts of pressure, one night a buddy of mine was messing with his and when we would test run it would make different/odd sounds, he just kept pulling over and adjusting the spring until he got it to his liking. Not having much power and feeling like youre "hitting a wall" are 2 different things ... which is it? Do you have a real boost gauge?

you need to do a boost leak test.

double check the BOV itself. Fluttering/Spluttering is usually a sign that it is not holding boost correctly.

+1, I've got some nasty boost leaks right now, dropping about 4psi per second on the leak test. When I hit about 7psi at 4k+ the car jerks fairly hard and the engine starts to feel like its loosing power. Do a boost leak test, it will also show if your BOV is holding presure then you can try adjusting it

the car works fine i do have power just when i hit boost the car doesnt feel like it has a turbo at all. I have an hks boost guage and it shows 10psi when i give it gas but dont feel like i have turbo at all ### the car will not pull at all.
