drop the rear axle?

Would it be bad for the transmission if i used an awd trans and just dropped the real axle and only used it for fwd?
ive looked high and low for a 4g63 turbo fwd trans and i cant find one at all.

Youd have to weld the center diff or get a viscous eliminator, it would be easier to get a non turbo 2.0 trans or a turbo front drive trans and bolt it on unless you have awd trans piled up.

Is there a website or anything that sells full transmissions because i cant seem to find a single one in all of western canada. And all of the engine swap places around here only sell the awd trans so thats why was i wondering if just not using the rear driveshaft would be an option.
