Well my brother took it out and i havent been over to the shop and i'm waiting on a return line and gaskets i just ordered from forcedperformance but anyway...

Im wondering how does this oil feed line go together? I know totally noob, heres the parts i have. I know that 90' piece goes on one end but the turbo end im having problems with. Just getting it prepped for installation.

Also, i just looked on another thread and i have a good idea where the Wastegate goes but...

I'm pretty sure i dont need that one pipe unless the whatever hosing doesn't reach the turbo. I bought this kit off ebay that came with this stuff plus a J pipe with the gasket and bolts for it for $50 (shipping was high though)

Hmmm, okay......thanks i understand now, pretty easy. i dont have anything on my J pipe though. Do most boost controllers come with stuff where you can put a screw in thing in the j pipe?

You have to run a vacuum line from the wastegate to the j pipe and put a boost controller spliced into the vacuum line. or you can run it stock and run them to the boost control solenoid

That link isn't working.

See that one pipe is not the j Pipe, the pipe behind that out of the picture is.

Whats a good cheap boost controller? I dont think i'll be upping boost levels yet, actually, i need to pay off my credit card and whatnot.

So how do put together the oil feed line turbo end? with the banjo bolts and everything.

I dont know if boost controllers come with the fitting, but you will have to drill a hole on the jpipe and have the fitting welded on.

for that boost controller you dont have to tap the pipe as long as some charge pipe has a nipple on it and it looks like that first picture shows a intercooler pipe with a nipple. hope that helps and that hole on the outlet of the turbo is just a bracket holder that a screw goes into not really important and you dont have to plug it either.;)

Ok thanks for the help.

I probably wont get a boost controller though, as least not right now.

So how does the oil feed line suppose to go on? do i just put the banjo bolt through the banjo fittings with the crushers on both sides of it? That part goes to the turbo right? (wonder what those two black bolts are for?)

and the outlet gasket, did i order the right one?

If somebody could answer those real quick i'll be good i believe. Found a nice page for more isntallation instructions.

Yes you are right about the banjo bolts and crush washers. The 90 deg goes to your oil filter housing and replaces the one that goes to your original turbo. The two black bolts look like they go to the turbo compressor outlet, if they have a allen head then they are definelty for your turbo and J-pipe.

Hey buddy, I am doing the same thing to my car :sneaky: ha ha.. Anyways those two black bolts are allen wrench heads I am assuming and those suckers tight down the J-pipe to the turbo.. It looks like an FP install kit just like mine.. Anyways that oil feed line connects to a little tap by your oil filter.. Its kinda hard to explain sorry.. Here is a link that might help.. GOOD LUCK!! "http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cyl...-came-oil-pressure-gauge-stopped-working.html" I suck at this link stuff but the great all mighty DEFIANT posted some great pictures.. Check it out!!

Make sure you use teflon tape when attaching the oil supply line to the oil filter housing. Many moons ago, when I did this install, I kept having an oil leak and couldn't get it tightened enough. I felt pretty dumb when I realized just needed teflon tape on the threads.

Hey thanks for all the help people:)

I got my turbo on but had some trouble with that oil feed line. I was trying to take out the top portion of the hard feed line and got mad and gave up. Anyhoo i searched and found out what to do and then came here and got the same advice. All will be good, as long as i can get that 19mm bolt out of the oil filter housing.

Think i will be buying a MBC maybe, I got a student loan, but im really in the hole. I bought 1 foot of vacuum line, probably not enough not sure. Im probably gonna have to use that one piece with the tap (in the first post) to hook up to my wastegate. Might need to buy a little rubber piping to hook that piece up with my jpipe and then to the intercooler piping, that sound right? Then when i want a MBC i could remove that vacuum line and hook it right up right? again, thanks for all the help.

Was having some problems bolting my turbo up to, stupid bolts wouldnt go in! Just got one nut on the stud. Hopefully i can get my maf or whatever wire out of there too....need to remove the oil feed line first.

So i made some good progress today but i have some questions. Can i run the wastegate to the one thingy and be good? or do i need to use that pipe with the tap on it? I dunno how im gonna connect that. I cut it and my jpipe so they would fit better and i know i could connect them together but the stock intercooler line would not fit on that pipe with the tap. How could i fix that? Thats really my big thing though....really need to be sure about that.

and then i couldnt get my oil drain pipe connected, it wasnt quite long enough. It might just be long enough but its hard to hold it up and get a screw started at the same time.
