Well, since i picked up this 92 talon tsi awd, ive been doing all the little preventative maintance things to it and a lot of cleaning. So, today i installed an ExtremePSI oil return line kit. I looked around and didnt really see other pics on the site of the kit so here are a couple of mine. Install was perfect and the guys at ExtremePSI hooked me up good.

how much did you end up paying for that if you dont mind me asking ?

well, gaskets and shipping it came out to about $90 bucks...i actually already had the push lock fittings and hose but i needed the turbo and oil pan fittings so i just ordered the whole kit...

Looks clean, and looks like it fits good also
thanks man, it was a snap...

Man those things are not cheap.I guess ill stick to making my own like most other stuff i do LOL.Like the alternator relocation kits.I made my own one of those as well. :D

I bought a kit from ExtremePSI and could not get it to fit. I'm not bashing them, they have great prices and I live so close that sometimes I can get my stuff ordered and shipped to my door in less than 24 hours haha, but I just had so much trouble with the SS return line kit that I just put the stock one back on, maybe I'm just retarded haha...

I found the stock line is the best. But it looks like this set up is pretty nice. For 90 bucks it should be but its almost the same as stock just some modifications done to the appearance and function with the new set up.:thumb:Not bad

Spend the extra cash and buy from a reputable company and name.. It would suck driving down the highway at wot and it broke causing the turbo and motor to starve of oil..All because you wanted to save $25. I speak from experience I am to believe that's why I lost my fp 16g..I found out my ss oil return line is from eBay..And the fitment sucked and it broke then kinked..I say spend the money do it once do it right.. But that's just me..

Ok that's cool. Because the one I have is leaking badly so extremepsi it is.

the push lock kit is much easier to install than the threaded SS return kit, highly recommend the push lock kit from extreme PSI, it also doesn't kink as easy as the SS kit.

I'll third the push-lock one. I got the SS one from extremepsi and it was a PITA to get together. I didn't have the strength to screw the fittings completely together even, they're half screwed in and won't budge, but its solid

I like the simplicity of the push lock as well, although I have a tough time getting the extremepsi pushlock oil return line on. The hose just seemed to be a little bit too stiff.

But I will admit, I prefere the look of the SS fuel lines I bought, though, it is a huge pain in the ass getting those damned fittings together with out scratching the hell out of them.

Just installed this line, and it was a PIA. The line is too stiff and kind of kinked on me. Oh well as long as it works im fine with it BUT i definitely wont be buying another one of these.

I hope you're not running it with the line kinked. Your turbo will last anywhere from 30 to 45 seconds if the oil can't drain out of it properly.

I have their staniless line. It is a nice piece, but I cant keep it from leaking on the oil pan side. It gives off a puddle the size of a half dollar overnight.

The SS one is a bit hard to get right. You have to cut it to length and get the fittings angled right for it to work right. Not an easy task with the turbo mounted on because there isn't much room to fit a wrench of its size up under the turbo to tighten it down. It is however, MUCH easier to get it to fit if you can install the turbo side with the turbo out of the car.

As for getting the SS line to fit right into the fittings, if there is a local speed shop around you (pretty much anything racing) they will be able to cut it to your specifications and put it together leak free in about 3 minutes. Luckily for me there is a shop around here that specializes in all types of housing for all kinds of fluids so it was a snap.

Now, about the not wanting to scratch it with a wrench, does it really matter? You do understand that this is going under your car where it will be seeing constant abuse from the elements and will NEVER look as good as it did when you got it? I say wrench away haha

Gus: Yeah that pushlock line is really stiff. Did you accidentally cut it too short and that's what's making it kink on you? I know Gabe had a problem with his as well but that's because his was leaking for some reason. Don't remember why...

Its not a horrible kink but i still dont like it so ill be changing the line out soon. I tried a short line and a long one and i still couldn't get it to work right for me. Maybe if the bottom fitting to the oil pan was a 90* instead of a 45* it would work better. Oh well time to look for some of that pushlock hose!

For people trying to assemble the SS kit, just cut it too a bit too long and keep cutting a few MM off at a time until it fits perfect. Its time consuming and working with SS line that large is horrible, but it has to be damn near perfect. Even with all the work I did, I stripped the oil pan fitting adapter trying to reinstall it the next time because it wouldn't line up right :coy:

That is pretty nice looking, I like it. I have always used the FP "blue" return line with [Borat]: Great Success!!
