Hello everyone, this is my first post. After searching the forums and not finding the information I was looking for I decided to post this. Im a newbe so I cant make a vfaq, but the 2g power door locks can be fixed very easy. This fixed both of my door locks and has been working for 3 months now. The problem is after years of useing the door locks the armature in the door lock motor gets carboned up and no longer works. So the fix is to remove the door lock mechanism, remove the power motor, dissasimble it, clean the contacts with 2000 grit sandpaper, put it back together and your good to go. I hope this helps some people, the new door locks are pretty pricey, and this site has helped me a lot so I hope I can help some people here. If you would like pictures and a write up I would be glad to do it just let me know. If you have questions I will answer them the best I can. Dave

I hate when the power door locks start to malfunction. I had mine do it, so without pics I know what he speaks of since I have dissembled the door panels way too many times.

I didn't do exactly as said per the OP, but cleaning was done, and all is well. Its just a tedious task and there are some bolts that are not conveniently placed.
