Need help on shift cable install

Was wondering if anyone has any links or suggestions on how hard it is to install new shift cables on a 1g MT turbo awd dsm?

Its not that hard just remove the cables from the tranny, then pull it through the firewall, after
you unhook it from the shifter cable in the car. Dont know of any links.

Installing new shifter cables is not a very hard job. You will have to remove the center consol to get to the shifter easy. The only other trickey part is getting the gromet pushed in correctly into the firewall. It's a pretty simple operation. Pay peticular attention to making sure the cables are adjusted correctly. Both the transmission and shifter should be in the neutral position when you adjust them.

k gonna try the install tomorrow morning. Last question is do you know how to determine what month your car is made? I am going to buy the cables from extremepsi and it says either march 1990 - may 1990 or june 1990 - 93.

june 1990 is a 91 model year. you can find this info in your drivers door jam
