What do you guys think of the 1g laser mesh wheels on a 2g eclipse?

Hi, I have a 99 gst spyder... I'm thinking of picking up a set of 1g laser 16" mesh rims... What do you guys think about it? Now i got some 17" 02 eclipse on there. I'm trying to figure out if it'll look nice on the 2g eclipse.

Yeahh I got some ground control coilovers.... this shop is giving it away for $100 for 5 wheels...

I have a set of those on my talon right now while it's parked and to me it just looks like ass. Might look better if they were painted black or something.

I don't know, I don't think it will look that good, I don't like mesh rims, I think you are better off going with the stock 98-99 gsx rims I think they look way better.

honestly they dont look half bad on that white car in gold, but i could see how another color car could warrant a possible painting of the wheels, personally i love wheels like that. remind me of CCW rims

I think if they were painted the right color they would look rad. Maybe the mesh one color and the lip another.

Those rims look cheap and ugly. I say keep the ones you have.

I have those wheels also on my 90 Laser. I never really cared for them other than the fact that they are real wheels instead of cheap hubcaps. Why would you go from 17's to 16's? Which 3G wheels do you have now? Pics?

The Laser rims could look good if you paint the mesh and polish the lip.

Personally, I would probably keep your current wheels unless they are beat up pretty bad or damaged.

Keep mesh style rims on 88 and down year cars.

Going with stock rims? Get 97-98 talon 17's. To me m.sh wheels look like poo.

The mesh style is a very old, classic design. Personally, I'd prefer the newer DSM wheels on a 2g. If I got those Laser wheels, they would just be spares.

I love mesh rims, but the stock dsm mesh rims aren't good looking at all. Way too busy.

Not really feeling the Laser meshies, and there's a lot of different wheels you can get on the cheap anyways... Personally, if you're going for factory wheels you can't really beat the GSX OEM wheels for looks (stock 2G GST wheels don't even look half bad either) Just my .02 cents

Thanks yalll.... If you guys want to know what kind of 17's I got. It's the one similar to the GSX. I guess I should pass on it and just stick to 17's for now.

I have have the mesh wheels on my laser, not only do they look like ass but they are a PITA to keep clean and clean. I wouldnt suggest anybody to get the mesh wheels.
